Summer Fun

Now that we are officially in the swing of school I am able to reflect on the wonderful summer I spent with my boys!

We spent many days at Deana Rose Farmstead.  It has been a favorite of ours ever since we moved here!
Almost 2 years..

Almost 3 years...

Almost 5 years!
This year we picnicked at the park with friends before we went to the farm!

We went to a carnival and Logan rode all kinds of big kid rides!
He even won "Snakey-the-Snake!"

It was great watching my boys become pals!
We had play date after play date!  It is so great having summers off to connect with friends!

We spent a ton of time at our community pool.  Easton was okay floating around but once he learned how to walk he preferred cruising around the hot concrete!
Logan officially became a swimmer this year!  He started off relying on his puddle jumper but once we bought him a pair of goggles he was a little fish!
In June we went to the Lake of the Ozarks with friends and their families.
Logan was a little to fond of the cans that were lying around and was officially dubbed the frat guy.

We celebrated the Fourth of July with my sister's family, my mom and dad, B, and Kasey's brother, Jamie.  Easton loved this flag!
Three little monkeys jumpin' in the bed!

Logan helped his daddy with fireworks this year.  He was so proud of his stash!
Ninja moves with Uncle B-Right.
Trying out a sparkler for the first time.
On July 7th Easton was baptized at Church of the Resurrection West campus by Pastor Jason.

Kasey and I are so happy to have his Auntie Lauren and Uncle Jamie looking out for our dude.

Grandma B. made his cutsie cake.
He thought it was SOO yummy!
We watched Logan play baseball.  He really liked it!  We also learned that his tummy does not handle Gatorade very well!
Easton was bummed they wouldn't let him on the field.  Luckily they lent him a ball!

It just wouldn't be summer without ice cream treats!
Logan would sometimes ask to "nurse" Easton.  It was so sweet to watch him rock his brother while singing "Night, night Easton."  Melt my heart!
We went to Kaleidoscope and created masterpieces.

We went to the Topeka Zoo with Grandma B. and Uncle John.

Logan formally introduced his brother to his favorite flamingos!

Easton had his first train ride at Gage Park.

We even rode the merry-go-round!
Somehow Logan convinced B to make homemade lemon cupcakes that looked like ninjas!  She is one heck of a Grandma!!

More fun at Deana Rose!
Easton's first time feeding the goats.
We took Logan to a soccer event at Power and Light.  He had so much fun collecting goodies from each booth, building a lego soccer player, and going on stage to perform soccer tricks!

And just like that, summer was over.  Kasey, Logan, and I all headed back to school.  Kasey has quickly learned that he does not get very many minutes to himself as the boss man.  I love my class of 13 boys and 5 girls!  Logan is having so much fun during round 2 of Mrs. Wells' preschool.  He has made some new friends and has gotten over his fear of Wally the puppet!
