March for Babies 2011

This year's March for Babies was truly inspiring! Kasey and I were blown away by how many of our friends, friends of friends, and family continue to support this organization that is so close to our hearts. We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all of you that helped us raise over $1100 to help ensure that one day all babies will be born healthy!

Before the walk got underway Logan and I had a dance session with radio Disney! Although they did not honor his requests for "Big Green Tractor" or Outkast's "Like the Way You Move" he still busted out the moves!

We did miss Team Super Logan but we were so lucky to have "B" join us for her first walk! Later that evening we Skyped with Gramma Jan who supported us by wearing her shirt. I also heard rumor that a young Mr. C. Pelling donned his Super Logan gear! Before the walk we got to hear the story of a now healthy 3-year-old boy who was born 15 weeks early and weighed only one pound. Hearing the quiver in his mother's voice as she talked about his NICU journey brought back so many difficult memories. As she spoke I looked around and saw the many t-shirts that said "in memory" or "angel baby." I felt the tears fall and had to hug my baby. It is those moments that remind me of just how lucky we are to have our Super Logan!

Here is a look at the large mass of people that support the March of Dimes. It was pretty powerful!

Thankfully, we had Logan to navigate the tricky 1-mile route!

Afterwards there was a live band and once again Logan was ready to rock! After all of the pre-walk emotions we just let him dance! We are lucky that he is here and that he can dance and so he did, for an hour straight!

Here is is dancin' face...while he strums his belly guitar!

We finally tore him away! I don't think I'll ever get enough of seeing my boys together, I just love them!

We had a great day! We raised money for a great cause, we were reminded of just how strong we are, what an amazing son we have, and we laughed at our little dancing miracle!

Thank you again for all of your support! xoxo.

I am a proud teacher mama! Thanks to Scrabble Cheese-its and a Leapfrog DVD Logan knows all of his uppercase letters and their sounds! He can also spell his name thanks to my Uncle John's name puzzle.

Batter Up!

Logan and his daddy have been hard at work getting ready for baseball season! Logan is getting pretty good at his "step, booms".

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year! Logan was thrilled to find that all of his demands put on the Easter Bunny were met! He had a great time finding all forty eggs.

He got a new truck (of course!) that he can change the tires on. It also has a socket wrench and screwdriver that lets him take apart the truck and interchange parts.

We headed to Aunt Kathy and Uncle Bob's for lunch. It was great to catch up with family and of course to eat all of the yummy food! The kids went on a massive Easter egg hunt! It was so fun to see all of them running around scooping up the eggs!

Logan was so excited! It was adorable to watch his little legs flying over the lawn as he shrieked "EGGS!"
